Cochin (Kochi), India in the Kerala Province

* One of our tours was a boat ride along the waterways. It afforded an excellent view of the Queen Mary 2, but for the fact that it was hazy.
* People thronged the shores and came out in boats, just like in San Francisco, Auckland, and Sydney. Of course, the boats are different.
* Traffic seemed chaotic, but we didn't see any accidents. There are no street signs and no street numbers. Cunard offered no postal service from Cochin, probably for very good reason.
* This method of fishing reminded us of Montenegro near Ulcinj.
* Dancing and music were very unusual. This woman is balanced on a tray, which is why she looks a little bowlegged. And she is balancing a small pot on her head as she dances.
* Welcome by elephant apparently is traditional here.
* Of course, we enjoyed the elephants tremendously.
