Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

* Traditional welcoming characters ... the guy on the right looks like he has done one too many. The back half of the lion has the hard job. He can't see anything and he has to stay bent at the hips the whole time.
* KL is so proud of their new buildings that we spent a bit too much time around the Petronas Twin Towers (home office of Petroleum National corporation). They are the tallest twin towers in the world, today anyway.
* Roberta was a table mate during the first leg of our cruise. She showed up on this tour. She loves standing next to Blazo, says he makes her feel petite. This is in the Petronas Twin Towers area, where we also had lunch and saw the aquarium. (150,000,000 species in the world, 15% of them in Malaysia, according to a sign in the aquarium.)
* This area of the city preserves some of the old buildings and includes the National History Museum. The cricket field used to be limited to whites; now anyone can qualify for membership.
* Another shot of the same area.
* When I saw this picture in the National History Museum, I thought I was back in Montenegro. The hat is all wrong, but most of the rest of the costume is close enough. Even Blazo was feeling for the knife in his belt.
* Finally, we were at a port (Port Kelang, an hour's drive from KL) with a passenger terminal big enough to handle the Queen Mary 2. It was so nice not to be surrounded by containers, container ships, and handling equipment.
* We passed the container terminal on sail away.

Skyline.

On to Cochin, India.
